Construction Manager / Estimator

Summary

We are looking for a highly capable and experienced individual to join our team as a Construction Manager/Estimator.  The Construction Manager/Estimator will provide leadership and accountability for successful project delivery of assigned SLI projects.  The ideal candidate will bring passion for working in an innovative and dynamic environment and have experience leading teams in the delivery of commercial projects from conceptual estimating thru project closeout.  The role will also provide support during the pre-development phase of our projects.  

The Construction Manager/Estimator will also support the ongoing development and expansion of our Construction Management/Project Management processes and services at a corporate level.

This individual will report to the Chief Construction Officer.

Assistant Construction Manager

Summary

We are seeking an innovative and driven self-starter to join our team as an Assistant Construction Manager.  On assigned SLI’s projects, the Assistant Construction Manager maintains and leads project level functions including but not limited to project start-up/closeout, document review/controls, cost reporting, contract administration, subcontractor management/compliance and project safety.  In addition, this individual will assist and support the Construction Manager/Estimator and Superintendent in activities such as estimating, buyout, cost control, site management/logistics, and leading/participating in job site meetings.

At a corporate level, the Assistant Construction Manager will also be engaged in setting up, administering and working within standard operating procedures related to the above.

The Assistant Construction Manager reports to the Construction Manager.

Construction Superintendent

Summary

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Construction Superintendent to oversee field facing aspects of assigned construction projects and to act as the link between various project parties. The Construction Superintendent will assume a lead role in schedule development, site and procurement logistics, AHJ/public utility coordination and field team formation as well as support supplier/subcontractor selection and estimating efforts during the preconstruction phase of work.  The Construction Superintendent will then oversee and manage the on-site construction team throughout the duration of work on site, focusing on key aspects including safety, contractor/subcontractor performance, schedule maintenance, site/delivery logistics, AHJ/inspections coordination, and QA/QC compliance. 

The ideal candidate will deliver on the above through exceptional collaboration and creative problem-solving skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and never compromising on quality. Top candidates will be strong leaders, pro-active and perform well under pressure.

Construction Superintendent reports to the Chief Construction Officer.

Industrial Drafter

Summary

Our Industrial Drafter uses CAD software to provide support to Design Team by preparing layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture. Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database. Makes decisions but confers questions/problems to Design Team. Has a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. Has knowledge of architectural drafting. Possesses mechanical aptitude with ability to complete mathematical calculations. Has familiarity with CAD/CAM equipment and relationship of CAD to CAM.

Draft from specifications and incorporate revisions based on interactions with the Design Team.

Support Design Team in resolving design issues.
